I came upon this bag on Net-A-Porter and it was really love at first site. I had just gotten my first Chanel bag on eBay so I didn’t want to splurge on another designer bag so quickly. A few months passed, and somehow the bag kept popping up everywhere- you know how that happens after you see something you like? Net-A-Porter is a great site but I thought I might try my luck on secondhand online stores to see if I could find it there at a lower price. Low and behold- a girl was selling it on eBay!! Oh, how I love eBay. I quickly messaged her to see if it was a real bag but I could see from her reviews and other items that what she was selling was definitely authentic. Side note- a good tip to find out if what you want to buy in eBay is actually authentic: check to see if the seller has sold items before and if he has had reviews. If the seller is new and there are no reviews- most likely it is fraud! They will sell you a bag but it is probably fake. Also- open up a new tab in your browser with the real bag on a site like Saks or Norstrom, and then zoom in to see if the details match perfectly. If they don’t, it is a fake bag! I learned this the hard way:/

Anyway, the bag goes for around $740 on Net-A-Porter, it looks like its currently sold out there but I can leave the link here for you. I bought mine from a woman named Lori on eBay who actually sells a lot of secondhand designer bags. I can leave you a link to her eBay store here. I bought it from her for $450 which was really a steal. It was in perfect condition, not really sure why she was selling it but she probably just didn’t want it anymore. It is a really small bag though- must be noted- that what fits in there is only keys, a tiny card holder and an iphone 6 or 7, not an iphone plus. But I don’t mind that, I actually like really small bags they are great for going out at night or for events. Hope this post was helpful guys and please feel free to leave me feedback or if you have any questions about the bag or shopping on eBay in general. Until next time! xx Karen

I’ve been loving the gingham trend lately – so I decided to try a different spin on it. I’m not sure if these pants are considered gingham, they seem like just plaid to me. What is the difference between the two anyway? I decided to pair them with a rolling stones tee that I picked up at Zara a few months ago. The pants themselves are from Brandy Melville, last year I believe, and the loafers are Asos which I ordered recently. I like the laid back and edgy feel of the look but its very casual and good for summer. I love mixing and matching prints/graphics so this outfit was a favorite of mine. Hope you like it, too! Until next time xx Karen

Last week I was invited to the launch event of the H&M summer 2017 collection in Tel Aviv. It was located at the Hayarkon park and there was a beautiful setup near the river with a photoshoot set made from items from the H&M home shop. A few other bloggers and I had the chance to look through the new collection and pick out some of our favorites to photograph. There was also a girl who made flower crowns which I love! This one is beautiful right? So I decided to pick out this metallic dress that’s perfect for a summer party or event and then paired it with a more casual item – these green velvet slides which are stunning. So in love with them. Hope you love this look! The new collection is now in stores in Tel Aviv and all over Israel so you can find these items there. Have a great week xx Karen

Nike Cortez Sneakers >> link here

So excited for these shoes! I first saw them on Bella Hadid in some magazine shoot that was published and she looked so cool- very 70s retro. Then I was looking everywhere for them here in Tel Aviv but they were nowhere to be found. The Cortez sneaker is a vintage style from years ago and they don’t always carry all the colors. I knew I wanted only the red and blue version that I saw in the magazine. So my boyfriend and I flew to Berlin and I ended up finding them there on the last day at the huge Nike store in the city center- best part? They were 15% off so I only paid 68 euros for them! So amazing. Anyway, hope you like how I styled these shoes and you will be seeing a lot more of them on my Instagram feed all summer long 🙂 xx Karen

Bershka Look

Karen Or, Israeli fashion blogger from Street Chic Tel Aviv, wears a total look from bershka #bershkastyle

I was invited last week to the opening of a new Bershka store at the local mall here in Tel Aviv called Azrieli. I picked up a few items from the new collection that I loved. The store itself was empty because it was actually the day before the opening so everything was laid out for us to see and there were so many fun trends that I wanted to try. The slip-on shoe trend is a big one so I got these silver ruffled slides that are so cute. I’ve worn them almost everyday this week 🙂 Then I’ve been seeing the hair band/scarf trend everywhere and I wanted to try it so I got this super cute blue and white headband that has kind of a nautical feel to it. The embroidered shorts were a gem I got after I found the matching cropped sweatshirt with the graphic print logo- which we’ve also been seeing everywhere. So basically, this entire outfit is all the trends lumped together but I think it works pretty well together, don’t you? See you guys next time and stay tuned for another fashion DIY video coming soon xx Karen

Last weekend my boyfriend and I flew to visit his sister who lives in Berlin. I’ve never been to Berlin before, let alone Germany, so I was very excited to go. We only planned to be there for 3 days and 3 nights because we didn’t have too much time, my boyfriend had to be back at work/school, but we definitely made the most of it. On the first day we visited the center of the city (although there are many centers because Berlin is a huge city) but we decided to go by the memorials, statues and make our way to Fredrichstrasse (I’m not sure if I’m spelling it right I’m sorry!) That is the main street where there are a lot of stores and restaurants. I discovered the store “And Other Stories” which is HM’s sister company also related to COS 🙂 I must say I loved their clothes especially the new swimsuits but the price points were really high – almost like those of COS and I was sure it was going to be cheaper. After that we took the subway to Alexanderplatz which is another shopping center and the home of Primark! Never been to Primark before and I’ve heard so many things about it from other bloggers and people who visit Europe. I have to say, we went there on a Saturday so it was completely packed with people and I didn’t love it so much. Everything there looked pretty cheap- stuff you can find at Target and TJ Maxx in the states although I guess their prices are really low so it is a good deal. Pascal, my boyfriend, ended up doing most of the shopping- I just bought a pair of nerdy glasses for 3 euros 🙂

On the second day, it was a Sunday, so we decided to visit the famous Mauerpark- definitely the highlight of my trip! Mauerpark is like the flea market of Berlin, but it also feels a bit like a festival because there are many amazing food trucks and performances on the grass by really talented singers/musicians. I absolutely loved the atmosphere, and the shopping there is great, too! So many cool vintage finds. On the last day, we decided to visit the Berlin Wall, but of course it started raining on us. We took the subway there and had to run through the streets in order not to get soaking wet. I was able to get one good photo there as you can see above:) Then we took cover in a local cafe which was so cute! Distrikt Cafe, its called, if you’re ever in Berlin you should definitely visit there. Finally, we made our way to another shopping area where there was a huge Nike store and I ended up finding the shoes I’ve been looking for everywhere – the Cortez sneaker in blue and red, and they were on sale for 68 euros! How cool is that:) All in all, I absolutely loved our trip to Berlin. Although it was pretty short, it was fun to visit Pascal’s sister and we did get a lot into the few days that we were there. Stay tuned for a Youtube video next where I show you all the shopping I did in the states and Berlin:) Until next time, xx Karen

DIY Tutorial – Lace Up Pants

Latest of my DIY tutorials! This one has to be my favorite so far. Inspired by Kim K and Kylie Jenner, I’ve been seeing these pants everywhere but couldn’t find a pair that I liked online. So I decided to make it myself, of course. The tutorial is actually a pretty easy one- you just need a sewing machine to attach the eyelet tape. If you don’t have one- borrow from someone or have someone stitch the seams for you! Hope you like this tutorial and until next time! xx Karen

Swimwear Trends – Flounce Bikini, One-Piece and More

A moment before summer arrives and we are all getting ready for bikini season, I wanted to give you guys my take on the hottest trends in swimwear. Some of my favorites are the flounce bikini, mesh bikini, and one-piece which we’ve been seeing everywhere lately. I’ve started searching for new swimwear to update my closet a few months now- as I’m sure most of you have, too! Also, I’m sure many of you came upon the website Zaful which is a really popular place to buy swimwear and they are also really affordable compared to most other places. Because of this, and the fact that they ship internationally I thought it would be nice to pick my favorites from their website.

The first you see is the flounce bikini of course. Flounce meaning an extra layer over the actual bikini and it adds a little frill and a bohemian vibe to it. Number 3 and 4 and both one pieces which are very on-trend this season and also very forgiving for when you are not in your best shape:) Number 5 and 6 have a bit of a mesh detailing which I love and adds a little pop and extra detail to your suit. Also, number 6 has my favorite striped lining which is another detail I love- very 90s. And finally, number 2 is a bralette type of top which is a cut that is also very popular this season- a nice alternative to the traditional triangle bikini. I’ve linked all of swimsuits you see above down below of course and if you have any questions or comments feel free to leave me a message below! Until next time xx Karen

  1. Pink flounce bikini
  2. Bralette top bikini
  3. Plunge neck one-piece
  4. Striped one-piece
  5. Shell mesh triangle bikini

Last week I got back from a trip to visit my parents in the states and came back with a suitcase full of goodies, as always. I know its so much easier to buy stuff online in America so when I go I do it strategically and start ordering things online a week before I even get there.

The first purchase I made was through eBay. I knew I wanted to buy a designer bag and the only way to do that online would be to ship to the states because here in Israel theres like 30% tax on any shipment worth over $70 (so annoying, I know). So, I was scrolling through Vestiare Collective for vintage Chanel bags and then realized that it might be easier to find cheaper ones on eBay. Low and behold, I was right! Little known fact, there are a ton of Chanel bags sold from Asia, Japan in particular, and they are totally real just used. I spent hours digging through eBay to find the perfect bag and at finally found this beige colored quilted Chanel bag from the 90’s – isn’t it amazing? I’m in love. It does get a bit dirty sometimes because of its color but I just use leather cleaner to wipe it off every once in a while.

So my next big purchase was a pair of good fitting mom jeans. I already own one or two, but you can never have enough, right? This one I knew I wanted to get good quality so I just went straight to the Levi’s website and ordered the one pair with the best reviews. It’s a high waist light washed denim and when I got it in the mail it fit perfectly. I added a white leather belt to the cart just so I would have free shipping (I always do that) and ended up loving the belt, too.

Once I arrived to the states, right before Passover dinner lol, I spent about an hour surfing through the Urban Outfitters website. I love the collaborations they do with brands like Champion and Adidas so I went on there to see if I could find something good. Unsurprisingly most items were sold out in my size but I didn’t care because I like ordering things in a bigger size. Sometimes I just like the fit better and other times I can make it smaller with my sewing machine (the perks of knowing how to sew). So the Champion sweatshirt you see in the photos was ordered online that day in a size L, I love the fit of it and now my boyfriend just wants to steal it from me so I have to make sure it stays in my closet 🙂 Next I ordered two Adidas t-shirts with the three stripes on the shoulders in white and navy. One was regular tee in a size M and the other was a small crop top that looked similar. I couldn’t decide so I just ordered both but once I tried them on I realized the crop top would be less useful- I just don’t really go around with my tummy out. So I stayed with the M sized tee and it fits okay I can always take it in a bit.

Lastly- Nordstrom Rack. Oh, how I love that store. Won’t go into all the details of everything I tried on and returned and bought again- but I ended up getting those red Ferragamo sunglasses you see in the third photo, along with the Sincerely Jules shorts you see in the first photo. Love those shorts, I have to say the fit is amazing! She really knows how to make casually fitting shorts for summer so good for her, Sincerely Jules:) I also got another pair of cute denim shorts with patches and a black lace mini dress for just $30, it used to be like $120 so it was such a good deal. I have a lot of weddings coming up in June so that dress is going to be really useful.

Besides that I ended up getting some stuff on Amazon like those yellow sunnies in the photo with my dog and the cropped hoodie you see in the photo. Stay tuned for my next tutorial on how to make those lace up jeans that I am wearing in that same photo. So easy to do and I wear them all the time! Well, hope you like this post, sorry if its a little long and until next time when I post the DIY video! xx Karen

Trip Home to California

I just got back from another trip home to the states to visit my parents. They live in the Bay Area, California where I grew up and I had such a fun time visiting them- especially my little niece! I think my favorite part about flying home to America is the fact that I’m able to shop online with minimal shipping fees and no taxes. It’s something that I really miss here in Israel where a lot of the times its even not possible to receive certain items online. So, I did a lot of shopping! This visit I also spend a lot of time with family, I went to the Zoo with my brother and his adorable daughter which was so much fun. I also had some of my favorite foods from California like In and Out as you can see 🙂 Its great to be back in Israel but I always miss a bit of Cali when I am here. Hope you love the photos and until next time guys! xx Karen

DIY Tutorial – Corset Belt

Latest on my Youtube Channel! This time I really wanted to make a corset belt- I’ve been seeing them everywhere. Here I used a faux leather fabric but you can use any fabric that you want, I think denim will be the next one I try to make because that looks really cool, too. You also really don’t need a sewing machine to do this. Even though I’m using one in the video you can definitely glue the seam down and sometimes you won’t even need to hem if you are going for a distressed look. To style the corset belt, you can wear it over an oversized tee as seen on the Kardashians and Kylie Jenner, but it also looks really good on a summer dress or anything flower print because its a nice contrast. Hope you loved this video and until next time!! xx Karen

Suburbs in Cali

shoes Zara // dress ASTR // hat Shein

I always thought the growing up in Sunnyvale, California that it was such a boring place and so un-stylish. I wished I lived in New York or Europe where the streets are cobblestone and the buildings were tall. But actually it was this visit that I realized that there is a real beauty to the openness and emptiness of the suburbs. Especially after following blogs like Always Judging and Peace Love Shea, I fell in love with the retro, California vibe photos that evoked such coolness. So anyway, I decided I was going to take advantage of what the suburbs had to offer and find some awesome spots to take photos. My first idea was to find an old car which wasn’t hard to do and these photos came out just what I imagined. The outfit matches in a light beige color palatte with the studded ballet flats as a contrast. Hope you love it! More photos from California to come 🙂 xx Karen
